The Honeywell 17000 air purifier is a 3 speed portable unit that employs two filters that continuously circulates a room’s air about six times per hour. The pre-filter reduces odors and the true HEPA filter effectively traps tiny airborne particles.
With Honeywell’s IntelliCheck system, you’ll know when it’s time to change the filters. The HEPA filter is permanent and just needs periodic washing while the pre-filter lasts about three months. Filter replacement is simple.

This cleaner does an amazing job picking up great amounts of dust, hair, and other particles which you can see on the black pre-filter. Any allergy sufferer will be amazed at how much this helps. Well worth the expense if you need serious allergy or odor control.

This unit is pretty quiet in comparison to its counterparts, but don’t expect absolute silence. The low and medium settings are quiet enough not to overwhelm a TV or stereo. It’s probably best to use the high setting overnight or when no one is home.
